Myspace Gets SSL, Finally

I just noticed last night that Myspace is finally using SSL to protect login. I haven't had a chance to run wireshark against it, so I can't give details on exactly what is happening, but it is a welcome sign.

However, in the wide scope of social networking security...this is now a low risk threat of stealing passwords.

Guerrilla Phishing tactics are much more effective. Yes, I made that term up, but it fits...sorta.

But, it should bring a little comfort to those of us that use open wireless here in Austin (and in other wired cities).
