Former Iranian Nuclear Negotiator Case Still Open

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iran's Intelligence Minister said in a briefing session at the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission here on Tuesday that the case with the country's former top nuclear negotiator Hussein Moussavian is still open and investigations continue.

"Mohseni Ezhehyee, in response to the lawmakers' questions, announced that Moussavian's case is security oriented and pertains to the leakage of information to foreign countries, specially to the embassy of a foreign country in Tehran," The commission rapporteur Kazem Jalali told reporters after the meeting.


"The intelligence minister also announced that Moussavian's case is still open and investigations continue," he added.

"Ezhehyee further stated that the judge in charge of the case will issue the verdict once he is through with the probe and investigation into the case," Jalali concluded.

Iranian judiciary freed Moussavian on bail after holding him on national security-related charges for more than a week.

Moussavian was freed after paying bail of 2 billion rials (215,000 dollars).
