Louisiana Town Bans Overly Saggy Pants

Via DailyMail.uk -

Overly saggy pants are obscene, this Louisiana town council declared in an ordinance passed unanimously this week.

The indecent exposure ordinance carries penalties of up to six months in jail and a £250 fine for being caught in pants that show underwear or, as Mayor Carol Broussard puts it, "private parts."

Broussard said he will sign the ordinance. Low-hanging, baggy pants have become a fashion trend, mostly for young men in the hip-hop culture.

Broussard denied the ordinance is racially motivated. "White people wear sagging pants, too," he said. "Anybody who wears these pants should be held responsible."

"If you walk up and your pants drop, you get a fine," he added. "They're better off taking the pants off and just wearing a dress."

Although Delcambre Councilman Albert Roy introduced the ordinance, he said a £250 fine is outrageous: "I think it should be something like £12"

Next it is illegal not to have a bread...and for women not to cover their face...ohh wait...that is Sharia Law. I almost forgot that we were in America.

I would like to earmark this bill and include a ban on Country Music, is that possible?

  1. Idiots of Our Government. To get by this law all they have to do is wear speedo's. They cant ban you from wearing swimwear can they. If they tried I would hope that the people would take the necessary procedures to yank his dumb ass out of office. It is government officials like this that have put our country in the mess it is in write now and that will drive it to a second rate country in the futrue unless they start getting some common sense back or we yank the dumbasses out and put smart ones back into their place.

  3. Luckily we live in a nation that allows its citizens to "really" vote for stuff. This is a small town with small-minded people running it...nothing more. Hopefully those that live in the town will reject this small-minded-ness. Freedom isn't about making everyone happy, it is about leaving the choice up to the person and not the group.
