Libyan Leader Gaddafi Arrives in Paris with Amazonian Guard

Via Dailymail.co.uk -

Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi is bringing 400 people including 30 female bodyguards, a fleet of armour-plated limosines, his own tent and even a camel for a five-day official visit to Paris this week.

The eccentric head of state's entourage arrived in the French capital on Monday on five planes, before heading to Hotel de Marigny - where he will stay in his own heated tent in the grounds.

He is also said to be bringing a Sarahan camel in order to "greet visitors in the true desert tradition".

His personal unit of female guards clad in blue camouflage uniforms, who will protect him around the clock, are trained killers and also said to be virgins.

Colonel Gaddafi was invited to Paris by French President Nicolas Sarkozy after his estranged wife Cecilia persuaded Libya to release five Bulgarian nurses and a doctor who had been condemned to death earlier this year.

Since then, the two countries have been strengthening their ties with several billion pound trade deals including the purchase of Airbus planes, fighter jets and a contract to build a nuclear reactor for civil use in Libya.

Libya ended decades of isolation from the international community four years ago when it gave up its pursuit of nuclear arms and renounced terrorism.

Libya might be in better relations with the world after coming clean about its WMD programs, but lets not forget that things aren't perfect in Libya.
In August 2006, Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, marked the 37th anniversary of the coup d'etat that brought him to power by urging his supporters to "kill enemies" if they asked for political change.
