An unknown Mauritanian organization calling itself the "Al-Zarqawi Brigades in the Islamic Maghreb" threatened, in an email announcement, to retaliate against Moroccan King Mohamed VI during his upcoming visit to Mauritania, because of the imprisonment of several Salafi "brothers" in Morocco.
In a previous announcement, issued last week, the organization gave a list of names of Mauritanian police officers and threatened to behead them.
The announcement also included the logo of Al-Qaeda Maghreb, and mentioned the attack it had carried out on a Mauritanian army base when it was still known as the Salafi Group for Da'wa and Fighting.
