A Saudi Arabian man believed involved in the July 7, 2005, bombing attacks in London has been arrested, Pakistani officials said Thursday.

The Saudi, identified as Zabi al-Taifi, was taken into custody with six other men in Khyber, a tribal district along the Afghanistan border, The New York Times reported.

Taifi's alleged role in the bombings that killed 52 people was not known, officials said.

One report had Taifi and the other suspects among those planning attacks on NATO convoys that ferry troop supplies into Afghanistan through the Khyber Pass.
