Tools of the Trade - Resveratrol for All!

For the first time, scientists have proof in human subjects that a derivative of an ingredient in red wine combats some symptoms of aging. Sirtris Pharmaceuticals announced the results here on Monday at the JPMorgan Healthcare Conference.

Resveratol, naturally found in red wine, stimulates a gene known as SIRT1, which has been linked with extended lifespans in rodents. The new study is the first time similar effects have been replicated in humans.

"We believe that this is the first time that a drug candidate has shown efficacy in a disease of aging by targeting the genes that control aging," said Christoph Westphal, CEO of Sirtris.

On Jan 7th, OWASP released DirBuster 0.9.10. DirBuster is a multi threaded java application designed to brute force directories and files names on web/application servers.

On Jan 4th, Mark Russinovich & Microsoft released an updated version of the Sysinternals Utilities Suite. This release includes updated versions of Autoruns, PsExec, Sigcheck and TCPView.

• Fixed regression in glob when open_basedir is on introduced by #41655 fix.
